WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a type of semi-permanent tattoo that creates natural, beautiful eyebrows, using a handheld microblade. Microblading holds different names-feather-touch, 3D hair-strokes, 6D hair-strokes, embroidery, etc. Unlike traditional tattooing-which uses a machine- microblading professionals apply each hair-stroke with a handheld microblade. The handheld microblade helps produce very fine lines that resembles hair-strokes. Each individual hair-stroke is hand drawn and blended in with the client's existing eyebrow hair and natural direction of hair growth.

STEPS IN DOING MICROBLADING.

Two appointments are needed to complete the procedure. In the first appointment, the client will receive a full consultation where the eyebrows shape will be drawn with a waterproof pencil, so the client can see and agree with the shape, color, and thickness of the brows. Once the client is ready to move forward with the shape, the area will be numbed with 5% topical Lidocaine to help ease discomfort. Once numbed and consented with the shape and color, the client’s eyebrows will be microbladed. Quality pigments will be used and the professional’s training on color theory will help eliminated brows turning a "grayish" or "pinkish" tone once healed. However, there will be some mild scabbing and after-care required by the client, but the eyebrows will be completely healed in 30 days.
The second appointment is a touch-up at least 30 days after the first session. This allows enough time for the ink to settle into the skin. During the touch-up appointment, an examination on how the skin reacted with the ink will be done to see if any corrections are needed. Sometimes the client's skin undertones may have unexpected effects on the ink's color and may need to add color to adjust. These types of corrections are normal with any microblading procedure and is an essential part of the process. Every skin is different and each client's procedure must be treated accordingly with proper care and attention.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

The pigment used in this procedure is semi-permanent, therefore the procedure typically lasts up to 1-2 years or longer. Because of the unique qualities of each individual’s skin and lifestyles, we are uanable to guarantee how long your results will last. You will likely need a touch up within 1-2 years .

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE PERFORMED?

The procedure is done using a hand tool, with a prepackaged, sterile, single use “blade” made up of a grouping of needles that are 3x smaller than the needles that would be used in a tattoo machine. With the appropriate amount of pressure, the skin is scored and the pigment is deposited into the epidermis (outermost layer of skin). Think paper-cuts!

HOW LONG IS THE PROCEDURE?

Your first appointment will take between 1:30-2 hours , as plenty of time will be taken to assure that we have created the shape you desire before the procedure is performed.
Your second appointment (4 week touch up) will be between 30-60 minutes.

DOES IT HURT?

Each individual will have a different experience with the level of discomfort associated with the service. Some say it is relaxing and they only feel the pressure being applied. Others say it feels about as uncomfortable as tweezing. Still there are some who will feel that  is more uncomfortable. Two topical anesthetics are used to ensure your comfort level during the procedure. One is applied 20 minutes prior to beginning the procedure and the second is applied throughout the entire procedure.

WHAT'S THE HEALING PROCESS LIKE?

When you leave from your appointment your brow area may appear pink, and the pigment itself will seem darker than you may prefer. The day after your appointment few people would notice anything unusual. Throughout the healing process (1-2 weeks) they will slowly fade to a softer, more natural shade, but they will not be unpresentable. Individual healing result may vary depending on skin type, the after care taken, and life style.

HOW DO I PICK THE SHAPE I WANT?

We choose the shape of your new brows together. Whether you are just looking to enhance the fullness of your natural brows, or created a whole new shape, we will take it one step at a time. Your new shape will be applied with a cosmetic pencil first so that you can see how it will look on your face. We will not start the procedure until you are happy with what we have created.

I HAVE NO BROWS, CAN I STILL GET THIS PROCEDURE?

Absolutely, this is a great option for those who suffer from Alopecia, Trichotillomania, or have been through Chemotherapy. Microblading can even correct past wax catastrophe, over tweezing, or the normal hair thinning that occurs post menopause.
